Here is my attempt to list a few things I like this year. I had intentions to get to the letter Z, but you know how it goes: once a quitter, always a quitter.
A - apple pies after dark; the darker, the sweeter
B - back scratches; reminiscent of my childhood, thank you mom
C - catalytic things; they make reactions that much easier
D - discovery channel; helps me pretend I know things
E - eating high; I'm giving up my weight-gaining ways this new year
F - facebook games; it's a love-hate relationship
G - growing; it has its ups and downs
H - hate; I enjoy feeling things strongly
I - iphones; they're pretty cool, I'll finally admit (and never again)
J - jars; they're cute to say, to hold and open
K - Kathy; I want to like myself a little more
L - laziness; I am ending this list early due to it
M - massages; it feels so amazing, I end the list with it
I also like anisole. I thought of that as I was writing A, but I figured I shouldn't use it if I can't even remember what it does. I just like the sound of the word. A lot of molecules stick in my head because I like the way they sound. I don't know how to use any of it in an actual reaction. Happy last day of 2009! Good riddance.
I've written a few emails to old teachers. Surprisingly, Dr. J still remembers me. He even explained his hatred for Whaley. Ms. Cooke gave me life lessons as usual. Ms. Litman has yet to respond. She never bothers to write much back anyway. Retirement sounds great.

merry christmas aint so merry
Merry Christmas.
I just got a notice from an old friend that his fourteen-year-old cousin went missing Saturday morning. His glasses and phone were left behind. I am not too clear on the details, but this is really tragic. His family has reported the case and a lot of friends are trying to search for the kid. I wish I could do something to help. It doesn't hit you too hard until you try to relate. Just think about the possibilities. The boy might never come back. So easily, someone could just go missing from your life and never return. I hope the kid just wandered off somewhere by himself. I hope they find him in perfect condition.
Christmas is here and so is the new year. This wasn't a very good year for me. My grades in school are not as good as I would like them to be. I've accomplished little. In fact, I feel like I've taken many steps back. I don't write or think as often. I feel simple, dull and empty. My resolution for the new year will be up soon.

organic chemistry final
I don't want to study. I just want to close my eyes and wait until this week ends. Why can't we just sleep through the bad times and wake up for the good?
Last night, I stayed up late to discuss the process of sex change, religion, cars, and empires. It was basically everything that did not involve studying. Before that, we confronted an ex-friend about her mooching, lying, backstabbing problems. Confrontations don't work; group bash-vent-therapy does. I wish people were more likable. No, I think I like disliking certain people. Some people live to be disliked.
I want food. I am so lazy that I barely leave my room nowadays.
